laka.lv deface
Today I faced a defacing. I must say that it was mostly my fault and I am kinda gratefull to the hackers for being polite and not destroying the data. I was rooted through a awstats voulnerability and defaced due to high ignorance for Web server security principles.
On a good note - the deface was detected by our hosters and they closed ports before more damage could be done.
Also, it would be more polite for the hackers in question not to have reduced themselfes to personal insults and also a pointer towards an entery point and a "RTFM" in a proper direction would have been very helpfull.
BTW I would be very interested to have those guys be active in LAKA as *BSD and Gentoo fanatics - we lack those :)
